Find & Fetch, originally titled "Picky Pets", was inspired by my four-legged son, Cosmo. He's extremely selective when it comes to food and it can be tedious searching for the few products he does enjoy. I had the idea of designing an app that helps you locate specific products while also determining which location has the best price, quickest delivery, or closest proximity.
For the overall design, I wanted Find & Fetch to have a modern aesthetic. I sorted through numerous shopping apps and websites to get a better sense of the current trending styles. I decided to take a simplistic approach, which I found was beneficial in guiding the potential user through the app. The most significant challenge I confronted was deciding the ideal color scheme. After some trial and error, I decided on this palette as the colors harmonize well with the photos within the app and there is enough contrast to create a visual hierarchy. The interactive prototype on the left was created using Adobe XD.
